New connections

Fast, simple electricity connections for your business.

What is a new electricity connection?

A new electricity connection is what gets your business or site linked to the power grid so you can access electricity. This is arranged through your local Distribution Network Operator (DNO) or Independent Distribution Network Operator (IDNO).

Who needs one?

You'll usually need a new connection if you:

How Brook Green Supply can support

We make getting a new electricity connection fast and hassle-free. Once you have your MPAN, our simple online form and expert team guide you through supply quotes, contract setup, and meter installation.

Key steps before you contact us

1.

Submit Your Application

Apply online through your local network operator (DNO or IDNO), and provide the documents needed for a new or upgraded connection.

2.

Site Assessment & Quotation

A surveyor will check your site and identify any extra work needed. You’ll then receive a detailed cost estimate – once approved, your connection can be scheduled, and the network operator will provide you with an MPAN.

3.

Preparation & Installation

Make sure your site is ready – this could include installing a meter box or completing trenching. The network operator will then install the electricity supply infrastructure.

Final steps and meter activation

Once the network operator has completed the installation, it’s time to get in touch with us. As your chosen energy supplier, we coordinate the meter installation and ensure everything is ready. Just follow these steps to get your electricity supply live:
1.
Complete our simple online form with the details we need to start your connection. This helps us get everything moving quickly.
2.
We can assign a suitable Meter Operator (MOP) for you if you don’t already have a contract. If you do, pre-arranging an installation date can help avoid delays.
3.
We’ll get in touch with the DNO to make sure your site is ready for the meter installation.
4.
Your MOP will contact you to schedule the installation.
5.
Once the meter is installed, your electricity will be activated. If any issues arise, the MOP or DNO will return to resolve them.
