      A mandate for a greener future

      The UK government has mandated AMR meter installations by the end of 2030. We’re committed to helping businesses meet this goal and drive the transition to a greener energy economy.

        Providing a dedicated site contact will make the booking and installation process quicker and easier, acting as a direct link between our engineers and your site.

        With someone onsite familiar with your metering setup, our engineers can quickly identify requirements and access the site at a convenient time.

        Please note: All installations are carried out by third-party agents, so your contact details will be shared with them to coordinate the visit.

        Request your AMR meter

        1.
        Complete an online form or contact the Brook Green Supply team to request an AMR meter. Your information will be sent directly to our Metering Team.
        2.
        After eligibility checks, we’ll allocate the job to the appointed metering agent. They will contact you to arrange an appointment, usually within 2–3 weeks.
        3.
        When our installer contacts you, they’ll ask about your site and current meter, and guide you through important information to consider before the booking.
        4.
        The meter exchange may require brief downtime to your electricity supply, kept to a minimum. Once complete, your new AMR meter will start sending readings to your account for accurate billing.

        Our installation targets

        In 2024, our target for electricity and gas AMR installations under Ofgem’s Smart Meter Transition guidelines was zero. Despite this, Brook Green Supply went above and beyond, completing 75 electricity and 67 gas installations.

        Building on this success, our 2025 target remains zero, but we will continue installing AMR meters wherever possible, in line with company policy. We’ll share our 2025 performance against these targets on our website by 31 January 2026.
