Advancing AGP’s 2030 Renewable Goal with a Sleeved PPA

Ardagh Glass Packaging (AGP) is committed to sourcing 100% renewable electricity by 2030, a goal that demands both long-term planning and practical interim action. To progress toward this target, AGP needed a meaningful way to cut greenhouse gas emissions while also testing a full front-to-back Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) structure in a real-world setting. The aim was to take a pragmatic step that delivered impact today while building confidence and capability for future large-scale renewable procurement.

Brook Green Supply partnered with AGP to design a structured approach that met both operational and strategic needs. Using our existing PPA offtake agreement, we facilitated a sleeving trade that gave AGP direct access to the output of a renewable generation project. We developed a bespoke 20-month contract, running from March 2025 to October 2026, built on a Pay-as-Produced model and indexed to the N2EX UK Day-Ahead market. The agreement also incorporates the purchase of associated REGOs at site prices and was delivered seamlessly through an addendum to AGP’s existing supply contract. Together, these elements created a fully traceable, end-to-end PPA structure that enabled AGP to trial the model in a controlled and efficient way.

Through this agreement, AGP is able to purchase 100% of the power generated by the renewable project, covering a portion of their overall electricity consumption and providing a clear step forward on their path to 100% renewable electricity by 2030.
